The Linear Spine™ Extension Machine

The Linear Spine Extension Machine was developed as the reciprocal idea to its Flexion companion. We were surprised to find that this machine provided extension exercise for the spine to patients who could not tolerate the MedX Lumbar. Full-term pregnant women are included in this group. Also, due to its mechanics whereby the hips flex during positive lumbar and thoracic extension, the buttocks and hamstrings are neurologically turned off. This is a step further in the MedX philosophy of lumbar isolation than goes the MedX Lumbar machine which merely blocks the action of these musculatures.
